Tennis Optimal Wellbeing Program

Sensei’s Tennis Optimal Wellbeing Program is designed to support your wellness intentions and specific sports performance goals with a structured 5-day itinerary. This beautiful desert retreat features peerless tennis facilities that match the professional courts of the nearby BNP Paribas Tennis Tournament, and this five-day program is ideal for Level 3.5 tennis players (as ranked by the NTRP). Building on our premier Optimal Wellbeing Program, this specialized program uses technology to track, analyze and interpret your unique health data. An integrated team of Sensei Guides, Wellness Practitioners and a dedicated Tennis Professional help to enhance your lifestyle habits around the fundamental paths of Move, Nourish and Rest — and apply those practices to improve your technique both on and off the court. 

Over the course of your five-day stay, you will focus on your overall wellbeing through 1:1 sessions on mindset, nutrition, yoga and fitness, as well as insightful assessments and four-plus hours of personalized tennis instruction on world-class hard and clay courts. Sessions with your Tennis Pro will focus on stroke mechanics, footwork and match play. We will assess your serve, ground strokes, volleys, overheads, spin and consistency of shot placement. As the week progresses, you will incorporate improved techniques across every aspect of your game.

  • A thorough fitness assessment with an Exercise Physiologist to measure your V02 Max, gait analysis, vertical jump and more to interpret your performance metrics and co-create behavior changes that support your goals
  • Four-plus hours of one-on-one instruction with a Tennis Professional and working with other similar-level 3.5 players to improve your game and measure your functional sports performance including stroke production, racquet/ball speed and footwork efficiency. (See below for more details)

Tennis Inclusions
  • Two Private Tennis Lessons including Video Analysis: Using the latest video technology, discover the importance and advantage of receiving instant and actionable feedback on racquet path, spin, racquet face, racquet speed/ball speed and other key factors. Following the video analysis, you will work one-on-one with your Tennis Pro in a private lesson setting to address the most important components of your tennis game. (90 minutes each)
  • One Tennis Footwork Workshop: Develop footwork for each specific tennis stroke. Efficient footwork will save energy, improve court coverage and maximize reaction time. (60 minutes)
  • One Guided Match Play: With the guidance of your Tennis Pro, learn how to play different tennis styles and develop the skills to improve your consistency and focus during a match. (90 minutes)
